GET TO KNOW ME
Greetings! I'm Othea McAlpine, a licensed Psychotherapist and Coach working to guide moms to the LIFE they deserve to live. Since 2009, I have worked to help women identify and achieve their personal goals. Life happens to the best of us, and it can be very overwhelming in general. Adding on significant life transitions to an already stressful situation with the constant demands of mom life can leave you feeling disconnected, chronically exhausted, swamped with day-to-day life, and questioning this version of you. With women juggling more roles, there has been an overwhelming increase in pressure to push through when you may feel like you are operating on fumes. As a therapist and your guide, I aim to focus on offering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
Education & Credentials
My training started at Alabama A&M University where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology. Those years helped ignite my interest in the mysteries of the mind which led me to dive deeper into better understanding human interactions. I continued my training at Argosy University-Atlanta, where I obtained a Master's degree, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I currently hold a license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia & Maryland.
